Blaike – Blaike EP

[SLM084]

Slime welcomes to the label London producer Blaike. Mixing up house, techno and garage with considerable flair, his style is aimed squarely at the dancefloor and designed to wind your waist. For his debut on the imprint he delivers three impeccable bass music hybrids destined to be working crowds across the rest of the year.

‘Tribe’ comes correct with a carnival rhythm across a playful groove, chopped vocals interspersed in the mix to add some bounce to proceedings.

‘Never Easy’ drops some serious atmospherics on a rolling house beat, with soulful female vocals rubbing up against warm pads and a laconic bassline, perfect for hazy summer nights.

‘BITG’ rolls in on sprightly keys and percussion strapped to a joyous four to the floor for maximum effect in the club, with the track building relentlessly until you have to succumb to its charms.
