Shutta – Messy EP

Messy EP” is the debut EP from 17 year old Greg Palmer, a talented producer out of London that goes by the name of Shutta. The EP showcases his dark, moody and minimal take on Dubstep and with subtle nods to pioneers like Digital Mystikz , Pangaea and Loefah to name a few, This release really does take you back.

The title track “Messy” opens with dark dungeon vibes, leading you right through to the drop with sirens and a Goat Stare-esque bassline while the b side “Philosophers Garden” provides us with food for thought, precise drum patterns lock down oriental vibes, giving the track space and pace.
Meanwhile Decyfer’s remix of the title track launches us into the current day, transforming “Messy” into a 4×4 bass driven House roller. To finish up FedByMachines slows the pace, providing us with a Garage take on the track. Bringing a raw and organic flavour to the mix.
