Q-BLOCK is the brand new project from the Godfather of UK Garage, Ceri Evans.
Best known for his work under the Sunship moniker, Ceri has worked with everyone from Naughty By Nature to Destiny’s Child in a career that has spanned 3 decades.
Originally a jazz pianist, Ceri’s first success was as member of Eighties Acid Jazz group The Brand New Heavies. Achieving a plethora of awards including a MOBO for ‘Best Jazz Pianist’, Ceri’s inherent ability to reinvent himself has kept him buoyant on the ever changing crest of the UK underground.
Now, with UK Garage making a timely comeback, Q-BLOCK’s reverential touch explores a dirtier, nastier aesthetic, ensuring that this man will be leading it’s revival.
