Rarely does a piece of music history remain undiscovered for years, only to be released for the first time in all of its glory and in a digitally remastered format. But this rare occurrence has been brought to us exclusively by Urban Dubz Music.
Legendary dance producer Jeremy Sylvester; ie creative powerhouse behind such guises as the prolific ‘Club Asylum’, ‘Dubtronix’ and ‘Class A’, is known and respected the world over for helping to sculpt the UK Garage sound whilst at Nice and Ripe Records , and in doing so establishing himself amongst the most important figures in the UK scene. It’s little wonder then that Jeremy Sylvester had labels queing at his door, and he’s since worked with such artists as KC & Jojo, Shola Ama, All Saints, Lickle Rinsers (N-Dubz) and Barbara Tucker.
And now for the next generation, the old DAT tapes have been dusted off and re-mastered for the ‘Best of Jeremy Sylvester Vol. 5’, out 1st OCTOBER 2012. Featuring many previously unreleased tracks, this 10 track album also treats us to Dub Syndicate’s ‘No Longer Will I Be Your Fool’ and a Jeremy Sylvester dub mix of Master Builders’ ‘Man Cannot Rise’. It doesn’t stop there; with an extended DJ mix and DJ friendly tracks included.
