Im not a great fan of the term ‘Speed Garage’ but it certainly epitomises the early UK Garage sound from early 1996-1998. For those that dont know it was essentially a combination of the US Garage sound mixed with Jungle influences from the UK, using a 4×4 beat with dub sound effects and a heavy bassline. These tunes still sound fresh and its influences are still felt today within the UK Garage and Dubstep scene.
