Phonetix ft Harsh – Why

Following a lengthy hiatus from music due to bad health, leading Nu Skool Garage talent Phonetix (formerly Robbie T) returned at the end of 2010 & has been bombarding DJs with a plethora of new music since – including the free download album ‘Vinyl & Voicemails’ (visit phonetix.co.uk for more details on how to obtain your copy). His trademark blend of musicality, raw bass & dancefloor-friendly beats have made him a firm favourite since he first burst onto the club circuit in the summer of 2005 with a handful of cheeky bootlegs, courtesy of DJ Domino’s Riddler Records. He has since gone from strength-to-strength, developing from that oh-so common beatmaker/remixer into a fully-fledged producer & composer in his own right.

Here, he teams up once more with long-time collaborator Harsh. Reminiscent of their work as Soul’d Out, this one is crammed full of Soul & vibes… but with just enough of a sprinkling of Dancefloorism (yeah I just made up a word, but who’s reading this anyway?!). Add remixes by Duncan Powell & TnG to the pot & you’ve got one big package!

Phonetix has now put ‘Why’ & the remix package up on his website for purchase & download. It’s well worth picking them up! Each track costs 79p (the radio edit is 50p) or £2.50 for the whole package!

  1. Radio Edit
  2. Club Mix
  3. Original Mix
  4. Duncan Powell Vocal Mix
  5. Duncan’s Devious Dub
  6. TnG Nu Step Mix
