Mr Groove & Vergas – Let’s Do It (Mike Delinquent Project Edit)

Mr. Groove & Vergas established their first contact on a cold December afternoon, back in 1997. Mr. Groove was on a quest to find quality local producers for a compilation with strictly Portuguese artists and Vergas was recommended by a mutual friend. Vergas impressed Mr. Groove, notonly with his material, but with the quality of ideas and production skills, and there the partnership was formed. Their compilation went on to sell more than 150,000 copies in Portugal alone, kick starting their Global success and winning them an award for “Best Dance Music Production” of 1998 at the Radio Nova Era Awards voted by the listeners.
Inusa Dawuda has long been recognised as one of Afro-funk’s most animated characters. A multitalented singer, songwriter, saxophonist, percussionist and entertainer, it is this diverse range as a performer that has been the catalyst behind his growing international success. In 2010 he was crowned “Russia’s most successful foreign artist”, where to-date his single ‘Rumours-Digi Digi’ has received in excess of 440,000 radio plays, an accolade not even achieved by Lady Gaga or David Guetta.
The trio have joined forces on this dance floor club track which has had a refreshing rejiggle in this Champion remix package.
The first remix is by hyped garage producer, Mike Delinquent Project who gives the original a good UK garage kick with wobble and 4/4 re-twist that’s punched out with rave force.
The second remix is by the revered man himself, Kerri Chandler who transforms the original into a house hit with the depth his production is renowned for. The track slowly builds out layers of electronic samples alongside a pounding beat with the original vocal ebbing in and out as it sings on top.
