Friends of ukgarage.org, Enchanted Rhythms have posted an interview with legendary producer, Danny J Lewis. It makes for a great read covering his introduction to music, producing and what he’s up to now! It’s well worth a read.
How is 2016 going for you so far?
Well I seem to be having challenges thrown my way! I’ve recently found out that the Artist Analytics Dashboard project at Universal Music I had been working on for the last 3.5 years was ending and I was made redundant. I thrive on this kind of situation though and I’m prepping to go onto bigger and better things. I’ve just tipped over 50k subscribers on my youtube channel and i’m keen to take that all to the next level as well as release plenty of new music whilst looking for the next role.
For anyone that doesn’t know can run down a list of all the facets of music that you have been and are currently involved with?
I’ve been producing music for many years and have released on labels like Defected, XL/Locked On, 4th Floor, Afro Art Records, MAW Records and many more. I’ve also co-written and produced with Ben Westbeech, Bugz In The Attic’s Daz I Kue and Mark Robertson as Spiritual South. I’ve also been running two labels; Enzyme Black Recordings and Ruff Trax Records but now i’m stepping back and soon to be putting stuff out on other labels again such as Closer To Truth.
