Forward-thinking, bass-focused label Four40 Records continue their vein of rich form – off the back of the ground-breaking compilation ‘Hybrid Theory Presents: Four40 Volume 1’ – with a wonderfully astute collaboration consisting of Pete Graham, Chris Lorenzo and Jamie George.
With the trio already well acquainted, and each major musical players in their own right, the end result was only ever going to be captivating. The last 12 months have seen each individual reach new heights, with each artist’s sounds played on airways and dance floors up and down the UK [and beyond].
Churning out the most organic piece of house music so far this year – Pete and Chris offer up a strikingly debonair platform for Jamie to affix his smooth, reflective vocals over the top – presenting to us what is undoubtedly the sunset summer party starter in Let Me Down; bound to be heard from back yards to boat parties worldwide.
Also featured on the release are remixes from Nu Era Bass and JD. Reid. Both artists make the track their own, offering up contrasting interpretations, tweaking the instrumental drastically whilst still making full use of the vocals flexibility.
