Food Music, the new label from Shadow Child & Kry Wolf, present the third and possibly the most anticipated release in their short history, in the from of ‘Dappy’ by Birmingham house heroes Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo.
Hannah Wants is the UK’s fastest rising DJ/producer with a new show on Kiss FM, and further releases planned on top labels such as Rinse.
Chris Lorenzo is also tipped for big things, both as a solo producer and as one half of Cause & Effect, who recently had their debut Dirtybird release ‘Don’t Like To Do That’. With such prestigious labels supporting both Hannah and Chris respectively, the hype that surrounds ‘Dappy’ is well founded.
Dappy first emerged towards the end 2012, and quickly gained support from key tastemaker DJ’s including MistaJam, Claude VonStroke Justin Martin, Huxley, Friend Within, and DJ EZ. With an array of DJ’s supporting the record, it is clear to see how ‘Dappy’ has captured all of the best elements from house, bass, garage, and grime.
Remix support comes courtesy of dirtybird’s own Kill Frenzy, who incorporates a new element into the remix – an eerily haunting “oh my god” vocal to great effect.
