Slime welcomes back UK producer Made to the label. Debuting on the imprint with the well-regarded ‘Forward’ EP way back in 2011, he has since gone on to spearhead a new movement of musicians in the Midlands under the moniker of Concrete Collective. For his sophomore effort, he returns to explore similar themes to his first release through his richly emotive compositions.
‘Sanctum’ opens with rain-soaked atmospherics and melancholy chords interwoven with an intricate 2-step rhythm. A powerful bassline punches through with raw emotion, pushing the track further into the stratosphere.
On the digital flip, Birmingham-based brothers Rough Frequencies up the tempo to deliver a classic slice of liquid D&B. Sparkling melodies descend across rolling beats and cavernous bass for a late-night roller of distinction.
